FAQs
What makes a headline high-scoring?
The best headlines are 6–9 words (40–65 characters), contain at least one power word, include a number where relevant, and either ask a question or use an emotional word.
What are power words?
Power words are terms shown to increase click-through rates — words like free, proven, secret, exclusive, ultimate, boost, and transform. They trigger curiosity or emotion.
Does my headline score affect SEO?
Not directly — Google doesn't score headlines. But a better headline improves click-through rates in search results, which is a strong indirect signal for rankings.
Should my meta title and blog headline be the same?
They can differ. Your meta title is optimised for search (include the keyword near the front). Your blog H1 can be more creative and click-worthy since it's read after landing on the page.
