What is the lifetime licence?

A single payment that gives you the Starter plan permanently - 5,000 page credits every month, up to 5 websites, the full SEO, security and accessibility audit suite, Search Console integration, cannibalization detection, competitor tracking and report exports. Your credits reset every month exactly like a monthly plan; you just never pay again. All future improvements to those features are included.

Why does the lifetime price keep going up?

Lifetime licences sell in batches of 20, and each batch costs more than the last: $59, then $69, $79, $89 and finally $99. Once 100 licences are sold, the lifetime offer closes permanently and DidYouSEO goes back to monthly plans only. The counter on this page is live - it reflects licences actually sold, not a timer that resets.

Why doesn't lifetime include AI visibility or AI content generation?

Those features run paid AI and search-engine requests on a schedule every single week, so they cost us money for as long as your account exists. A one-time payment can't cover an ongoing cost like that honestly, so they stay on the Growth plan. Everything in the lifetime licence runs on our own infrastructure, which is why we can promise it forever and mean it.

What happens to my lifetime licence if I want AI features later?

You can upgrade to Growth at any time and pay the normal monthly price for it. Nothing about your lifetime licence is lost - if you ever cancel Growth, you drop back to your lifetime Starter access rather than to the free plan.

What does the free plan include?

The free plan gives you 1 site, up to 10 pages per audit, and 30 crawl credits per month - enough to audit your site every month and see exactly what DidYouSEO can do. No credit card needed, ever.

Do the free SEO tools require payment?

No. The 30 free tools (meta tag checker, SERP preview, robots.txt tester, schema validator, and more) are completely free with no account required. They'll always stay that way.

What are crawl credits and how do they work?

Each page you audit uses 1 crawl credit. Discovering pages on your site (finding the URLs) is free - you only spend credits when you run the 40-check audit on a page. Starter gets 5,000 credits/month; Growth is unlimited.

How does AI content generation work?

On Growth and Pro plans, DidYouSEO uses Gemini AI to generate full 1,400–1,800 word SEO articles based on your site's audit gaps and target audience. Articles are saved to your Content Calendar and auto-published to WordPress on a schedule you set.

Why doesn't Starter include the WordPress plugin?

The WordPress plugin's main job is AI content autopublishing - scheduling and pushing articles directly to your site. Since Starter doesn't include content generation, the plugin isn't useful. It comes with Growth, where it's put to work every week.

Is there a free trial on paid plans?

Yes - Starter and Growth both come with a free trial: 3 days on monthly billing, 7 days if you choose yearly billing. No credit card required to start the trial.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings at any time. You keep access until the end of your billing period.

How do extra site add-ons work?

Each additional site beyond your plan's limit costs $10/month. On Growth (25 sites), adding 3 extra sites costs $30/month, bringing your total to $79 - the same as Pro with unlimited sites. So upgrading to Pro is usually the better call if you need more than 2 extra sites.

How does DidYouSEO compare to Ahrefs or Semrush?
