What is the lifetime licence?

A single payment that gives you the Starter plan permanently - 5,000 page credits every month, up to 3 websites, the full SEO, security and accessibility audit suite, Search Console integration, cannibalization detection, competitor tracking and report exports. Your credits reset every month exactly like a monthly plan; you just never pay again. All future improvements to those features are included.

Why does the lifetime price keep going up?

Lifetime licences sell in batches of 20, and each batch costs more than the last: $59, then $69, $79, $89 and finally $99. Once 100 licences are sold, the lifetime offer closes permanently and DidYouSEO goes back to monthly plans only. The counter on this page is live - it reflects licences actually sold, not a timer that resets.

Why doesn't lifetime include AI visibility tracking?

AI visibility tracking runs paid AI and search-engine requests on a schedule every single week, so it costs us money for as long as your account exists. A one-time payment can't cover an ongoing cost like that honestly, so it stays on the Growth plan. Everything in the lifetime licence runs on our own infrastructure, which is why we can promise it forever and mean it.

What happens to my lifetime licence if I want AI features later?

You can upgrade to Growth at any time and pay the normal monthly price for it. Nothing about your lifetime licence is lost - if you ever cancel Growth, you drop back to your lifetime Starter access rather than to the free plan.

What does the free plan include?

The free plan gives you 1 site, up to 10 pages per audit, and 30 crawl credits per month - enough to audit your site every month and see exactly what DidYouSEO can do. No credit card needed, ever.

Do the free SEO tools require payment?

No. The 29 free tools (meta tag checker, SERP preview, robots.txt tester, schema validator, and more) are completely free with no account required. They'll always stay that way.

What are crawl credits and how do they work?

Each page you audit uses 1 crawl credit. Discovering pages on your site (finding the URLs) is free - you only spend credits when you run the 40-check audit on a page. Starter gets 5,000 credits/month; Growth is unlimited.

How does the AI content calendar work?

It's on the Growth plan. Our AI reads your website to learn what you sell, then suggests articles from your Search Console data and your product - or you give it a title. It writes the draft, you review and edit it, and when you approve it, it's scheduled straight into WordPress through the free DidYouSEO plugin. Nothing is published without your approval. Each site gets up to 30 AI-written articles a month.

Does the WordPress plugin work on every plan?

Yes. On any plan, including Free, the plugin shows DidYouSEO scores in your Posts list and the block editor, audits pages when you publish, and alerts you when a score drops. Each audit counts against your plan's daily API limit (Free: 20 requests a day). On the Growth plan, it also receives the articles you approve in the content calendar and schedules them as posts.

Is there a free trial on paid plans?

Yes - Starter and Growth both come with a free trial: 3 days on monthly billing, 7 days if you choose yearly billing. No credit card required to start the trial.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing in your dashboard at any time, with one click. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. You can also switch between Starter and Growth there; you only pay the difference.

What are AI credits?

AI credits pay for lookups that cost us a paid data request: search volume and difficulty for your keywords, keyword ideas from a seed phrase, and backlink totals for any domain. Each lookup uses 1 credit, from the dashboard or from your AI assistant through the DidYouSEO MCP server, and a failed lookup is refunded. Starter includes 100 credits a month and Growth 300, and unused credits don't carry over. Need more? The credits add-on gives 500 more every month for $29/month, and you can cancel it any time. Your own Search Console, Analytics and audits never use AI credits.

How do extra site add-ons work?

Starter includes 1 website and Growth includes 5. If you need more on Growth, contact us and we'll add them to your account.

How does DidYouSEO compare to Ahrefs or Semrush?

Ahrefs starts at $99/month and Semrush at $139/month, and neither tracks whether AI assistants mention your brand. DidYouSEO covers audits, monitoring, Search Console data and competitor tracking from $19/month, with AI visibility tracking on Growth.
