Audit any page without leaving it

CrawlSite is a free Chrome extension that runs a technical SEO audit on whatever page you're looking at — headings, links, images, schema and social tags — and lets you export the result as CSV. No account needed.

What it checks

Six panels, each one a tab in the side panel.

Overview

Critical issues, warnings and info alerts for the page you're on, counted and grouped.

Headings

The full H1-H6 outline, so a skipped level or a missing H1 is obvious at a glance.

Links

Internal and external links, with broken anchors flagged. Searchable by anchor text or URL.

Images

Which images are missing alt text, and which are being served larger than they render.

Schema

Reads the page's schema.org structured data and validates what it finds.

Social

Open Graph and Twitter card tags — what actually shows when the page gets shared.

Export to CSV

Every audit exports to CSV, so a list of fixes can go straight to a client or a developer. For a recurring report across a whole site rather than one page, see client SEO reporting.

Frequently asked questions

Is the CrawlSite extension free?

Yes. The extension is free and needs no DidYouSEO account. Install it, open any page, and the audit runs immediately.

Do I need a DidYouSEO account to use it?

No. The extension audits whatever page you're on entirely in your browser. An account only matters if you want site-wide crawls, rank tracking, or monitoring over time — that's what the web app does.

What does it check?

Headings (H1-H6 structure), internal and external links including broken ones, image alt text and sizing, schema.org structured data, Open Graph and social tags, and technical signals like HTTPS, canonical and robots directives.

Can I export the results?

Yes. Any audit can be exported to CSV, which is useful for handing a list of fixes to a client or a developer.

How is this different from the DidYouSEO web app?

The extension audits one page at a time, on demand, in your browser. The web app crawls your whole site, tracks scores over time, reads your real Search Console rankings, and monitors competitors. They're complementary — the extension is for spot-checks while you browse.
