ChatGPT Ads for agencies: every client's account in one view

Agencies that run ChatGPT Ads for clients can connect every client's ad account to DidYouSEO in one step and see each client's spend, clicks and conversions side by side, without opening each account in Ads Manager.

Why are ChatGPT Ads hard to manage for many clients?

ChatGPT Ads Manager has no agency account that shows every client at once. You switch between client accounts one at a time, and each account's API key works for that account only.

So the weekly check means opening every client in turn, and the client report means copying numbers into a spreadsheet. With five clients that's annoying. With twenty it's a day.

What do agencies get in DidYouSEO?

One paste for every client

Paste every client's API key in one box, one on each line. DidYouSEO checks each one and finds the account name.

Accounts link to client sites

Each ad account stores the client's website. DidYouSEO links it to the matching site in My Sites, so you don't map them by hand.

One row per client

Live 28-day spend, clicks and conversions for each client, with the change from the previous period.

Problems show up first

If a client deletes a key or removes your access, that client's row shows a warning instead of a blank.

Numbers ready for the client report

Spend, clicks, CPC and conversions with the change from last period, per client, ready to share.

Ask about any client

In ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor, ask "how did all my clients' ChatGPT ads do this week?" and get one answer.

How does agency access to ChatGPT Ads work?

The client owns the ad account and pays OpenAI directly: billing is per account, not pooled at the agency. The client invites your team in Ads Manager under Settings → Users. You then use one OpenAI login and switch between client accounts.

For reporting, each client account needs its own API key. Once you have access, you can usually create the key yourself in that client's account (Settings → General → API Keys), or ask the client to create one and send it to you.

WhoDoes what
ClientCreates the ad account, adds billing, invites the agency under Settings → Users
AgencySwitches to each client account and creates an API key under Settings → General

DidYouSEOChecks each key, names each account, links it to the client's site, shows the numbers

Connecting ten clients: what it takes

  • About 30 seconds per client in Ads Manager to create a key.
  • One paste in DidYouSEO for all ten. The button reads "Connect 10 accounts".
  • A result for each key: the account name and the site it was linked to, or the reason a key didn't work.
  • Sites that didn't match an account are listed below with a dropdown, so nothing is left unlinked by mistake.

What to put in a client's ChatGPT Ads report

Question the client asksNumber to show
What did we spend, and what did we get?Spend, clicks, conversions, cost per click, vs the previous period
Which ads work?CTR and conversions per ad, with the ad title and landing page

Why agencies use DidYouSEO for ChatGPT Ads

Built for many clients

Clients, white-label reports and per-client sites already exist in DidYouSEO. ChatGPT Ads adds one row per client account.

Ask across every client

One question in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor covers all your clients' ad accounts, so the Monday check takes a minute.

Read-only by design

DidYouSEO never creates, changes or pays for ads, so connecting a client's account can't change their campaigns.

No per-client fee

Add as many ad accounts as you manage. Linking accounts to client sites follows your plan's site limit: 1 site on Free and Starter, 5 on Growth.

How do you set up ChatGPT Ads reporting for your clients?

  1. STEP 1

Get access to each client's ad account

Ask each client to invite you in Ads Manager under Settings → Users.

  2. STEP 2

Create one API key per client

Switch to each client account in Ads Manager and create a key under Settings → General → API Keys. Copy each key.

  3. STEP 3

Paste all the keys in DidYouSEO

Go to Settings → ChatGPT Ads, paste every key, one on each line, and select Connect. Check the site links, then share the numbers with your clients.

Ask about every client from your AI assistant

With the DidYouSEO app in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor, one question covers all your clients. Ask for a weekly roundup, then go deeper on one client.

“List all my ChatGPT ad accounts with spend and conversions for the last 7 days.”

“Which client's ChatGPT ad spend went up the most this month?”

“For clientA.com, show clicks and CTR by device for the last 30 days.”

“Did any client's ChatGPT Ads key stop working?”

Who DidYouSEO is built for

Frequently asked questions

Can an agency run ChatGPT Ads for clients?

Yes. The client creates the ad account and invites the agency under Settings → Users in Ads Manager. The agency then switches between client accounts with one OpenAI login.

Is there an agency manager account for ChatGPT Ads?

No. There's no account that shows every client at once, like a manager account in Google Ads. Each client account is opened on its own, and each API key works for one account only. DidYouSEO puts every client account in one view.

Who pays for a client's ChatGPT ads?

The client. Billing is set up per ad account, so each client pays OpenAI for their own ads.

How many client ad accounts can I connect to DidYouSEO?

As many as you manage. You can paste up to 25 keys at a time. Linking ad accounts to client sites follows your plan's site limit.

Can a client's campaigns change because they're connected to DidYouSEO?

No. DidYouSEO only reads reporting data. It never creates, changes, pauses or pays for ads.
