What is a broken link?
A broken link (also called a dead link) is a hyperlink that points to a page that no longer exists or returns an error (4xx/5xx). They hurt user experience and can negatively impact SEO.
How does this tool work?
We fetch the page you enter, extract all links, then check each one by making an HTTP request and recording the status code. Links returning 4xx or 5xx codes, or that time out, are flagged as broken.
Why are some links marked broken even though they work in my browser?
Some servers block automated requests or return different status codes for bots. Try visiting the URL manually to confirm.

We check up to 50 unique links per page to keep results fast and reliable.
