FAQs
What is an XML sitemap?
An XML sitemap is a file that lists all the important URLs on your website. It helps search engines discover and crawl your content more efficiently.
Does having a sitemap guarantee indexing?
No - a sitemap tells Google which pages exist, but indexing depends on content quality, authority, and crawl budget. It's still essential for large or new sites.
What is sitemap priority?
Priority (0.0–1.0) hints at which pages are more important relative to others on your site. Google doesn't strictly follow it, but 0.8–1.0 for key pages is good practice.
Should I include all pages in my sitemap?
Only include canonical, indexable pages. Exclude paginated pages, filtered views, login pages, and any page with a noindex tag.
